Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights endorses Jeremy Moss for State Senate

Democratic State Rep. Jeremy Moss announced today that the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights endorsed his campaign for the State Senate.

"The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights is proud to endorse Jeremy Moss for Michigan's 11th State Senate District," said Lisa Canada, the organization's political and legislative director. "Jeremy has a record that working families can trust, championing legislation in the Michigan House to put skilled tradesmen and women back on jobsites throughout our state. We know that he will continue to protect middle-class wages and workplace standards in the State Senate."

The skilled-trades union represents 14,000 carpenters and millwrights across the state of Michigan.

"I'll continue to fight against an extreme agenda in Lansing that seeks to repeal prevailing wage and the local employment laws that we have in the 11th State Senate District," Moss said. "Our district knows that wage protection and economic growth are not competing values and I’m ready to deliver that message in the State Senate."

Labor support is growing in Moss’ bid to represent 11 communities in southern Oakland County in the State Senate. The Police Officers Association of Michigan and Michigan Nurses Association previously announced their endorsement of Moss.

Moss is also endorsed by incumbent State Sen. Vincent Gregory, who cannot run for re-election due to term limits.
